About the event
Join us for some backyard hangs -- we'll be hand-building and painting ceramic mugs while enjoying some refreshing bevies!
In this workshop, you'll create and paint 2 custom ceramic mugs. We'll start the session with an overview of basic hand-building techniques (pinch pots, slab-building, attaching handles, etc.) and then you'll begin creating your one-of-a-kind pieces. Come with your own inspiration or take a look at this pinterest board for ideas on mug shapes and decoration styles.
The first portion of the class will focus on building your mugs, and then you'll have the chance to decorate if you choose to.
After the workshop, your pieces will dry completely before being bisque-fired in the kiln. They'll then be coated with a food-safe* clear glaze and fired again.
Final pieces will be ready for pickup ~4-6 weeks after the workshop event. You'll be notified via email once they're ready. If you need an item shipped or delivered, let us know and we can provide that service for an additional charge.
Workshop includes:
- All materials, glazes & firings for 2 mugs
- Bevies + light snacks

The fine print:
***Workshop tickets are non-refundable. If you need to cancel for any reason, please email mwfoky@gmail.com 72 hours before the event to make any necessary changes and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Any changes within 72 hours of the workshop are not guaranteed.
**Ceramics are unpredictable (especially during the drying & kiln firing process! All pieces made in the workshop have the potential to crack, break, blister, or explode. I will do my best to ensure your work survives the firing, but I will not be held responsible for undesired results.
*All pieces will be food, oven, and dishwasher-safe, though I do recommend hand-washing to increase the lifespan of your piece :)
